National Young Stars is a competition run at the Three Counties Showground over two days. Sections from beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep and pigs all compete in teams of three, ages range from 7 to 24.

Each team has to find a sponsor and then with the shell unit provided they promote their sponsor. The team all have 1000 points to aim for, a scrutineer worth 125 points, preparation and presentation 250, presentation and promotion 225, stock judging 125, ringcraft 125, sausage making 50, skill-a-thon 25, interview 75.

This year Grace Bretherton, Eve and Charlotte Ashcroft made up the Massey Divas sponsored by Massey Feeds. Twelve pig teams competed and Massey Divas came out on top with a land slide victory of 902.5 points 121.5 points a head to be the pig section champions.

A Smithfield trophy had been donated for the team across all sections with the most points, this also went to the Massey Divas, a fantastic result being best in show for a young team and beating the very successful beef team.

Congratulations to the Massey Divas!!
